Jermaine Reid’s legal journey began at the University of Guyana, where he obtained his law degree. In 2013, he graduated from the Norman Manley Law School and has since remained dedicated to staying up-to-date with all the developments in his areas of practice. In 2016, Jermaine moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked with a Commercial law firm based on Warren Street in London’s trendy West End.
In 2016 Jermaine received a prestigious full scholarship from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to pursue a Masters degree in International Maritime Law at the International Maritime Law Institute located in Malta. After completing his masters, he made the decision to return to his home country, Jamaica.
Back in Jamaica, Jermaine plays a pivotal role in academia, serving as a lecturer in various maritime-related subjects, including Maritime Law, Carriage of Goods by Sea Law, Aviation Law and Business Law at the Caribbean Maritime University, which is the only institution of its kind in the region.
In addition to his academic contributions, Jermaine has taken the entrepreneurial path by establishing his own law firm. His firm specializes in several areas of law, including Civil Litigation, Commercial Law, Maritime Law and Conveyancing.
